autostart programs
« on: November 16, 2018, 08:18:41 pm »
I installed this win10 tool to manage autostart programs, there is a million of them but I installed 'autostart program viewer'.

the reason for the install was to troubleshoot why my Telegram messenger was hanging up constantly. I also run viber and whatsapp and of course Signal but telegram had ongoing issues.

Turns out the app that caused the issue was Eraser. It's a app that wipes files with a randomly generated string, multiple times, like DOD standard is 3, I use Russian Gost that wipes it twice. Turns out the app was running in the background and causing issues with the filesystem. I deleted it and things are back to normal.

Also disabled a bunch of other programs I didn't need and cut down my boot time from 29 seconds to 25 seconds. I still want to know how others boot in 10 or 15.  I have no issues with 25 however.
Brawndo. It's got what plants crave.
